MAGUIRE INCREASES CAPACITY OF VACUUM LOADER AND TRIPLES NUMBER OF PROCESSING MACHINES THAT CAN BE LINKED IN AUTOMATED SYSTEM

Enhanced Clear-Vu™ System Introduced at K 2004 Expands Potential for Factory Automation through Linking of Loader Controllers in Series 

DÜSSELDORF, October 20, 2004 - A new series of Clear-Vu™ portable vacuum conveying systems has a higher throughput capability than previous Clear-Vu loaders and expanded applicability as a "mini-central" approach to automated loading of multiple processing lines, it was announced today by Maguire Products, Inc., which is introducing the new loaders at K 2004 (Hall 10, Stand A26.)
Maguire has enhanced the Clear-Vu systems in three ways:

• Expanded automated loading capability. The number of stations that can be loaded by a single Clear-Vu unit continues to be eight, but through linking of the controllers in series, it is now possible to extend automated loading capability to 24 or more stations.
• Increased throughput. Maguire has doubled the blower horsepower of each Clear-Vu loader from five to ten, thereby increasing throughput capability from 420 to 1,400 kg/hr (925 to 3,100 lb./hr.) over a distance of 120 m (400 ft.).
• Availability of larger receiver. Maguire has added the option of a material receiver with a capacity of 10 kg (22 lb.).

Until now, receivers have included a 5-kg (11-lb.) unit and a tiny 0.5 kg (1.1 lb.) one for loading small hoppers, such as that for Maguire's MicroBlender®. All three are light, clear containers that make it possible to monitor the filling action and adjust fill settings efficiently.
