Supervisory System - Syntrol Plus

Maguire + Syncro’s supervisory upgrade system, Syntrol Plus, brings together all elements of your line into one point of control.

  • Connect all components & processes on your extrusion line
  • Upgrade older, dated control systems
  • User-friendly HMI - eliminate maintenance burden

Why Upgrade Your Supervisory System

Maguire + Syncro offers products to upgrade many aspects of an extrusion line, from materials blending and extrusion control, to Air Ring and APC upgrades, IBC width control, and full range of gauging solutions depending on the extrusion process.

Each modular component has its own independent PLC control, and several of these components can all be brought together in one supervisory control called Syntrol Plus, for an easy HMI experience for both new and seasoned operators, but making the line management simpler and easier than before.

Syntrol Plus is also available to upgrade the original OEM controls of a line, that 10 or 15 years later might be becoming harder to support in your location and or from the original supplier.

An upgrade to a line with Syntrol Plus essentially replaces all the original HMI and control processors, with the latest PLCs that are readily available from a spares and support point of view, and supported by Remote Assistance 24 hours a day. With the latest Syntrol Plus supervisory control, an old line can be integrated to the latest ERP systems, sync simply with cloud databases, provide 360 process reporting 24/7, and continue to evolve with the latest Industry 4.0 and IoT.

A line upgrade utilizes all the existing I/O on a line, such as heaters, drives, sensors, but simply replaces the older control hub with a new PLC platform, with an integrated, intuitive user friendly HMI.

Syntrol Plus upgrade for older line controls can renew the life of an older line and bring it to current day standards – improving control, operation, up time and productivity, and rapidly pays for itself.
